When we sailed Vista TA from Barcelona, there was a liquor store right at the port building. We only had two European ports on the way to Bermuda and we bought and carried on alcohol at those ports as well. Technically you are not supposed to bring any alcohol back to your room from port days.
Still, if you wish to try and take more onboard use the methods like Rum Runners or containers to disguise the alcohol. The temptation is also to buy the larger bottles of mouthwash, which most people wouldn’t normally take on a short vacation. Recorking the bottle isn’t always easy for some, and then you have to heat the seal so its looks as new as possible.
